  • Brittany Morgan Registered Massage Therapist providing professional RMT services at Innov8 Physiotherapy

    Brittany Morgan RMT

Registered Massage Therapist / Ashtanga Yoga Instructor

Brittany is a Registered Massage Therapist from Vancouver who graduated with honours from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2021. She has worked in a number of different multidisciplinary clinics around BC and New Zealand.

She was a competitive dancer in her youth, and has spent the last decade expanding her knowledge of kinesthetics as a yoga practitioner. In 2014 she began teaching Ashtanga Yoga with the aim of helping her students cultivate balance within their bodies and their minds. Her background in dance and Yoga has helped her cultivate a keen interest in the limits and possibilities of the human body.

Developing a relationship to one’s body, through manual therapy or otherwise, is something Brittany believes has immense therapeutic value. It is her aspiration to help others to experience this for themselves. To achieve this she strives to meet each person where they’re at, by being collaborative with treatment planning. She is happy to be continuing this work through massage therapy and supporting patients on their health and rehabilitation journeys.

Brittany is trained in, and has experience using, a variety of treatment modalities including myofascial release, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, neuromuscular techniques, Swedish massage, and PNF stretching. Of special interest to her is working with women throughout the stages of their pregnancy and utilizing massage as a remedial tool for sports-related injuries.

When she’s not in the clinic she is most likely playing outside. Her love for climbing rocks, surfing, flying on aerial silks, and skiing means that she has a good understanding of how to support others  with similar passions.

    Cat Zydyk

    Registered Clinical Counsellor

    Island Clinical Counselling

I truly believe treatment is a partnership between counsellor and client and will work with you to design an effective plan that recognizes your personal strengths and challenges. I use warmth, humour, and authenticity in my approach to make each client feel comfortable and to build a strong, positive therapeutic connection. I have experience using creative methods, such as games and movement activities, to connect with younger clients and spark their interest in the counselling process. I also support individuals with neurodiversity and their families.

I have been fortunate enough to live and work in communities both in Canada and around the world that have taught me the importance of culturally sensitive, un-biased mental health service. I aim to provide counselling that honours each client’s perspective on healing and recognizes all the elements that intersect to make each of us our own unique person. While I primarily base my approach on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, a wide variety of treatment methods and interventions may be used depending on your needs, personality, and preferences.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and I work with adults, children, youth, couples, and families.

  • Carly Thornton, IAYT Yoga Therapist, E-RYT 500, Innov8 Physiotherapy

    Carly Thornton

    IAYT Yoga Therapist, E-RYT 500

Born in North Vancouver, Carly recently returned to Canada after spending 10 years in Spain, where she lived and taught yoga. Her journey into yoga began over 12 years ago in Dharamsala, India, where she completed her first teacher training in Hatha yoga. Since then, she has expanded her practice and knowledge through training in Kundalini, Ashtanga, and, most recently, a three-year program with the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) to become a certified Yoga Therapist.

Throughout her practicum, Carly worked with students facing a variety of health challenges, including fibromyalgia, IBS, hypertension, hypothyroidism, women's health issues, Parkinson's disease, and more. With a trauma-informed teaching style, she takes a compassionate and empathetic approach, listening closely to her students and tailoring her practice to meet their unique needs. Carly strongly believes in a holistic, collaborative approach to healing, working alongside other practitioners and, most importantly, empowering her students to take an active role in their own well-being.

In addition to her yoga training, Carly holds a BA in Psychology from UBC and a Holistic Nutrition Certification from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN).

Outside of the clinic, Carly is an avid nature lover who enjoys hiking, biking, and swimming with her dog, Mukta.
